Halloween 2010

I love taking pics of my kids on Halloween! So much fun :)

Jacob's regular costume is Mick the guitarist from Slipknot but he forgot his mask today (in Daddy's van) for Trick or Treating at the mall. We dug through our costumes & voila! a Vampire! I like it better than the mask, lol!

Austin Lynn Kingsley 8lbs 8oz!

Austin was born at home on September 15th at 3:58 pm. I still can't get over what an amazing birth I had with him. We had an absolutely wonderful Midwife! She has been practicing for over 20 years and mostly worked in an Amish community until recently.

I have to say it is so hard doing a photo shoot with your own newborn! Especially when you factor in a toddler that is constantly waking him up! Sometimes at a newborn session, especially when mom is breastfeeding, I will ask Mom to leave the room because it is easier to keep the baby asleep. They will smell Mom and want to nurse & amazingly it works every time! But when Mom is the photographer, there is no leaving the room!!

Owen's Mini Session!

I had a VERY Mini Session with Owen the other day.

I can take about 300 pictures a day of my kids but they all end up being snap shots, never a real photo session, most of the time they don't mind & if i take a break they will ask for me to take there pic again!! An actual session with my kids just doesn't happen because it is soooo hard!!

Now if Jacob was home and I was taking pictures of both of them it may have been totally different, they probably would have fought for who got to be in front of the camera & ended up a disaster!

I practically had to beg for these!! No bribing yet, but that may come in handy at future sessions, maybe when he get a bit older!

I think they came out pretty good!

Even though he doesn't know it Jacob is next - haha, I will just need to get Mr. owen out of the house!!

My Kids!

I have been trying (and failing) at getting any kind of post of my kids/personal life on my blog! I am not a writer in any way, I actually dread it so it is my main reason for never posting anything. But (See how bad I am!! I just started a sentence with but, lol!) I don't use my personal blog anymore so I really want to record some memories here!

Today it is just going to be introducing my fam with a few of my favorite pics I took from the summer and my baby bump.

This is me and my GIANT belly from last week, I am currently 36 weeks pregnant & due September 4th! This is without all of my stretch marks of course, thanks to my mad photoshop skills! So no worries Mama's out there interested in Maternity pics I can get rid of them for ya!

We see our Midwife Kathy tomorrow who is so great! For those of you that don't know this will be our 2nd home birth (as long as I stay health of course!)! So exciting! Our Midwife comes to us for our prenatals so we don't even have to leave home! We plan on having our kids present for the birth also! Jacob, our oldest was able to watch his brother's birth and even cut the umbilical cord!!

This is Owen, who is 3 years old. He basically runs this family. We keep saying he is going to be a bit shocked once the baby comes when he is not the center of attention anymore. So far he is pretty excited, he kisses my belly & sings to the baby all the time. He is also always asking me if my belly hurts, such a sweet kid :) Owen is positive the baby is a girl, he even points out girl clothes when we are shopping and says "the baby wants that mom!".

Jacob! 11 going on 16, lol! Aren't they all like that at this age? Jacob is a great kid, he loves his brother & playing lots of video games :P He also likes to read but doesn't do it as much as he should. Right now he is reading Alice in Wonderland.

I can't forget my awesome hubby Mike! He is currently laid off so he has been my assistant this summer! It is great working with him, i hardly have to tell him anything, he just knows what to do. For some reason all of the kids love him and he has been responsible for so many smiles in my pics!!
